Client's Code of Rights

1. You are encouraged to actively participate in all decisions regarding your care.
2. While you are a client in this maternity facility, we will ensure that you know the names and description of all staff caring for you.
3. You have the right to refuse any form of treatment.
4. You are entitled to ask for the opinion of another doctor/midwife at any time.
5. The staff at Birthcare Auckland undertake not to divulge any aspect of your stay in this hospital without your consent.
6. Your privacy will be respected at all times.
7. Spritual needs will be met as you wish.
8. No legal responsibility will be taken for your property or valuables, however every care will be taken.

Transfer Times Ex Delivery Hospital

Following a normal delivery, you are required to transfer as soon as possible but definitely within 12 hours. After a caesarian section or instrumental delivery, the time frame is 24 hours.
