 Auckland Midwives - Benefits to LMCs of using Birthcare

Birthcare is a modern primary birthing unit ideally suited for low risk women to enjoy a safe and rewarding birth experience. The environment is one of relaxation and calmness, maximising the potential for normal birth. Two birthing pools are available. Lead Maternity Carers are well supported by the facility staff. Should transfer become necessary, secondary services are easily accessible at Auckland City Hospital five minutes away, across the domain.

Birthcare offers "the very best start in life" to both mothers and babies as they begin their breastfeeding journey together. Postnatal care and breastfeeding support is of the highest standard, with a high ratio of midwives to women, enabling provision of a quality unhurried service.

Partners and family are well supported and partners are able to stay over in private rooms.

Physiotheraphy and lactation services are available on site for those mothers who need extra assistance.
